Klemen Slavic Masa Ceglar Ana Spik Borut Bucinel Dejan Smolnikar
Klemen Slavic, 24 years. Ljubljana.A many-sided amazing guy. Klemen started his acting career way back in his teens after a wild party, coming home telling his parents he only had "a little sip."After a boring elementary school existence, he joined his high school debate club, where he cultivated his rhetoric skills. Later, he joined the underdog improv team in 2000, staying with the same team mates to this day. Since then, he's participated in various improv groups, performing as MC, actor, director, producer or lighting and sound engineer. Lately, he started to head his own improv group, Kivi Koktejl (Kiwi Cocktail). After graduation (and an abandoned biochemistry and genetics academic career) he decided to shift his efforts towards theatre and music, while keeping up with the other love of his life - comics and cartoons. He now works as a software engineer.. Masa Ceglar, 24 years. Ljubljana. I was born on 16th February 1983 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I study Slavic languages. When I was younger I used to do hip-hop and gymnastics. For the last three years I've taken classes in contemporary dancing and I am a stilts walker. I perform in dance-theatre performances and play in two children shows. I also work as a mentor of creative workshops (mostly puppet workshops) and as a coordinator in the Channel Zero club for concerts and international exhibitions. I e.g. organize the catering there as well as on different music festivals in Ljubljana (Druga Godba, Škuc, ...). I also participate in organizing street theatre festivals (Ana Desetnica, Metelkova festival,...). Ana Špik, 22 years. Ljubljana. She started on the theatre and dance. Later she learned to walk on stilts and she tried some experiences joining theatre and circus. Also a hybrid artist, the last years she has being performing with Artizani, among others experimental theatre groups. She told us about her experience in Artizani: “There I’ve realized what is really possible in theatre”. Their work combines circus skills, shadows, puppets and theatre in a really magic show.Ana and Masa will lead the equilibrium and stilts workshop for the Balkan Trafik Festival. Borut Bucinel, 24 years old. Ljubljana. The only artist in BZ.eu coming as a scene director and also as a performer: he is an independent artist, choreographer and dancer. He’s a brilliant promising creator in Slovenia, author of seven independent full-length dance theatre performances, the three last ones being, Čuda so potna gospodova, 2005 (investigative performance – premiere 30.11.2005), Speče celice, 2006 (with Bara Kolenc and Radovan Jaušovec for Teater Pozitiv theatre), and Lunatik, 2007, more short dance videos, music videos and many short dance performances. His stage and film work is always based on research of light, scenography and space, and also of the atmosphere, brought by the vivid artistic composition. He will create the scenography and lead the direction of the creation of the Slovenian Balkan Zirkus.eu Crew. We cannot wait to see the hybrid outcome of this interesting experience! Dejan Smolnikar, 26 years old. Ljubljana. Dejan comes from a small town in Slovenia, near the Austrian border. When he was 17 years old, he discovered breakdance electro-boogie and started to teach himself this weird dance. After that, he discovered gymnastics and two years later, he started teaching kids basic figures on the trampoline. At 21 he began with breakdance power moves. Now he can do a handstand...without having legs on a wall...for a few seconds...When he was 23, life was really hard for him...but this is another story...What I mean to say...hummm...what he means to say is that his life completely changed...he discovered balls...he became what is he now...a juggler...a juggler with all his heart...and I will juggle, till the end! This versatile artist, one of the best jugglers in Slovenia, is also a very rare one: combining very different genre, his style becomes unique: break-dance, gymnastics, theatre and juggling. He’s developing a new way of doing circus, shaker of different styles and he’s the circus pole in the range of Slovenian artists in this project. He’s also the official manager of the Slovenian team in BZ.eu. |

Ferenc Potocki Bàlint Turai Martina Sülli Adrienn Fehergyarmati Veronika Gallyas Ferenc Potocki and Bàlint Turai - 25 years old. Jugglers, Budapest.

Ferenc Potocki
I got to know juggling in 1999. At that time it was just a hobby for me: I spent my spare time juggling during my school years but I soon realised I wouldn’t stop at this point. In 2001 I tried performing, mainly fire-shows. I started to collaborate with all the Hungarian juggling teams of that time (eg. Tűzmadarak, Néró Zsonglőrszínház).
After graduating at high-school, I travelled to see the world. I did several street performances to get more experience and I also learnt from everybody I could possibly learn from. I was lucky to meet a retired fakir who taught me some tricks that I still use in my shows.
In 2004 I started unicycling, but it was pushed into background for juggling. However, I still organise competitions and other programmes with my friend, Tamás Pintye for the ambitious youth. In the meantime, I polished my knowledge in the studio of the Hungarian Circus and Varieté.
In 2005 I took on the organisation of the Hungarian Juggling Convention which now runs as the Hungarian Juggling Parade and Convention.
In 2006, thank to the Hungarian Juggling Association and Veronika Gallyas who submitted and gained a competition, I went to Berlin to the Jonglierkatakomben which is the only juggling school in Europe. Here, I learnt from great jugglers such as Valantin Valantin Tovartchi, Stefan Sing, Luke Wilson, Ben Richter and Alan Blim. I hope this list of names will grow in the future! I made the debut of my first solo show in 2007, I hope it will be successful..

Balint Turai
So, where should I start... Maybe at the beginning :I was very young when I was born... No! It's overly the beginning. I started with juggling about five years ago. I just did it as a hobby while I was at university, but I juggled every single minute in my spare-time. Then it became more than a hobby. I met some Hungarian jugglers and I learnt more and more from them. We performed some fire shows in festivals, in juggling conventions, etc. These days juggling is the most important thing in my life.
In 2006 I created a solo act with flower sticks and a club passing number with my partner.
In 2007 I participated in the creation of a performance of the Artus movement and dance theater company. We performed it with great success in a Hungarian theater, the Palace of Arts. During that time we created the Trio - juggling theater company with my two friends. Now we have a 20 minute performance where each of our solo acts are part of a story. We are also preparing a second show. It will be a club and bouncing ball passing act. This year I will also graduate in traffic engineering at a technological university and next year I will hold another diploma as a Bothmer gymnastic teacher. But my plan for the next 10 years is to work as a juggler. Now they work together in Budapest in their own juggling show.
They will perform a juggling routine for the Balkan Zirkus.eu show…and lead the juggling workshop at the Balkan Trafik Festival.
