The orchestra has been established 2002 in Pozega ( 27 km from Guca). It`s members (10 of them) , mainly young people had already had valuable trumpet experience in other orchestras and in their own families, because the area of Zlatibor (West Serbia) is well-known by the trumpeters.

The origin of Dejan Lazarevic (1984), the leader of the orchestra, is also from trumpeter`s family and he has been playing trumpet since he was 12.

Since the orchestra has been found, they took part on the competition of the best trumpet players of the West Serbia which maintain on Zlatibor. On this competition, since 2004, they has been winners in the category:

• The First Trumpet of the Audience (The most popular trumpeter)
• The First Trumpet by the marks of the official jury
• The First Orchestra
• Last year (2007) all of those three rewards goes to this orchestra

On Zlatibor`s competition, the trumpet orchestras obtain the “visa” for participation on the final competition of orchestras and soloist trumpeters from all over the Serbia and that is called Dragacevo trumpet players Assembly (Dragacevski sabor trubaca) in Guca, the biggest trumpeters competition on the world.

Since their gathering 2002, the orchestra of Dejan Lazarevic every year takes part in it and gained the rewards:

• The First Trumpet of the Audience -The most popular trumpeter (The Gold Trumpet of Dragacevo), 2003
• The Second Trumpet by the marks of the official jury, 2004
• The First Trumpet by the marks of the official jury, 2005
• Тhe Third Trumpet by the marks of the official jury, 2006
• The First Trumpet of the Audience -The most popular trumpeter (The Gold Trumpet of Dragacevo), 2007

Thanks to those rewards , as the one of the youngest, Dejan Lazarevic achieve the title “Majstor trube” (the best among the bests) which only 37 soloists trumpeters gain up to now.

At the lats year`s, 47th Festival in Guca, this orchestra was The Second Orchestra by the marks of the official jury and they won rewards for The Best Played Folk Dance, too.

The orchestra`s repertoire consists of many tunes from multi cultural world ( Balkan, Mediteran, Latin…). They are playing traditional Serbian folk music, but the modern one (folk, sound truck, jazz, classic…), too.

They were guests on many national TV programes and have performed at the festivals and shows across the country and abroad ( Bosnia and Hercegovina, Slovenia, Greece, Hungaria, Austria, Germany…).

The orchestra has recently released its debut CD, and those dayes they are preparing the second one with their best interpretations.
