Fundatia Parada
Its aim is to support families, young people and homeless children, through their education and socio–professional integration. One of their projects is a circus school, and its objectives are to motivate children and youngsters for the performing arts (mainly circus).
This school is now the most important one in Bucharest and produces a very high quality show. We are honoured to have two of their members in Balkan Zirkus.eu crew.

Marius Serbanica, 25 years old. Magician.
He lives in Bucharest. He has been studying magic and some other circus genres like jugglery during the last 8 years with Fundatia Parada. He made himself what he is, works hard and became a surprising magician. He has already been in several tours with Italian and Romanian circuses and in one show with Goran Bregovic. He will perform a magic show for the Balkan Zirkus.eu… and lead the magic Workshop during the Balkan Trafik Festival.

Ion Laurentiu, Lary, 16 years old Acrobat & juggler.
He lives in Bucharest, where he met Fundatia Parada and discovered circus was his life. He has been practicing acrobatics and juggling in the Parada School.
He has an enormous talent and a great energy on scene. You’ll see him on the aerial tissue in the Balkan Zirkus.eu show.

The Serious Road Trip. TSRT
From 1991 to 1997, the Serious Road Trip brought humanitarian aid and its own unique brand of therapeutic entertainment to people in Eastern Europe, from the war-torn former Yugoslavia to Romania, Chechnya and beyond.
Today, groups started by Road Trip members carry on the work and the goals of the Road Trip - to help people in difficulty of any kind, here, there and everywhere, particularly through the use of circus and street art.

Imre Nagy (22), president of one of these groups, TRST-Romania, with two of their members, Flavia Matei (20) and Tudor Bancioiu (19) are the other half of the Romanian crew in Balkan Zirkus.eu.

They live in Timisoara. They are specialised in fire acrobatics and juggling. They worked on several circus projects with the TSRT group in France and developed in their performances a very interesting point of view on fire as performing element on stage. They will create a trio show for Balkan Zirkus.eu where the elements will be fire poi, fire snakes, fire fans, torch swinging and more.

Gabriela Ionita is the manager of the Romanian crew at Balkan Zirkus.eu. She’s an actress, is involved in several theatre projects in Bucharest as the Gestual Art theatre group or the Momo art theatre group; she’s also Acting teacher in the «Pygmalion» Film Acting School, and one of the exceptional teachers (and also the cultural coordinator) of Fundatia Parada.
